    imageAinoa, Inc. with its partners Kapolei and Farrington High Schools as well as UH GEAR UP are causing a stir in the Kalihi area schools.

    These cross-district partners have come together to deliver online Algebra I to incoming 9th graders in the summer giving a leg up toward college entrance.

    UH Manoa GEAR UP's overall goal is to increase student awareness and prepare students for college.

About Us

Ainoa was incorporated in January, 2006 to bring a revolutionary, yet functional set of online content to the secondary classroom. It combines incredible technological breakthroughs in multimedia for online education within a streamlined and powerful environment where students can achieve their maximum potential. VSA or Virtual STEM Academy is under development and will be launched in school year 2009 at its partner schools on Oahu.

  • Summer Algebra Institute at Kalakaua Middle School
    In a cross-district effort, Ainoa and its partners delivered a successful Summer Algebra Institute at Kalakaua Middle School in the summer of 2007. This program has since been redesigned to raise awareness for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math as a whole.
  • Farrington High School steps it up a notch
    Farrington High School is among the first of Ainoa's clients to incorporate online courses into the regular school day. More than 120 students kicked off the second semester by moving from the traditional math classroom to the computer lab.
  • Summer Algebra Institute - 2008
    The success of the 2007 Summer Algebra Institute is fueling a major program extension in 2008. The program benefits will be extended to at least three more middle schools in both the Honolulu and West Oahu districts.
  • Kapolei High School developing an academy of online learning
    Kapolei High School is taking it's current after school online program mainstream. The school will be focusing on an online academy that will function during regular school hours in the 2008 to 2009 school year.
  • Pearl City High School's Twilight Program is open for business 24/7
    Pearl City High School isn't letting school hours keep twilight students from completing their courses. The school's credit recovery program is allowing students to take full advantage of the flexibility of online learning. Students can access their courses from the school's computer lab, home, or any other location that provides an internet connection.
